As we know, the precision mold plays an important role in the injection molding manufacturing, so we need to know what should be considered when design the precision mold,let’s discuss them together:
◊ Know the requirement of the product
As a mold designer, you need to know the requirements of the product, which is also the source of precision mold design. Therefore, the designer must be well known the requirements for the product,such as the shape and dimensional accuracy of the molded article, the flowing direction of the resin, the transmission of the injection pressure, and the solidification of the filled resin.
◊ The characteristics of the molded product
We need a systematic list of the properties of the molded article, mainly the material, the shape of the molded article, and these will have an effect on some details design of the mold
◊ The structure of the mold
The structure of the precision mold is different from the conventional plastic mold and the structural design schemes will be different. There may be several structural design schemes for ordinary molds, but for precision molds,there may have a certain influences on some structures . Therefore, some precision mold structure schemes may be very demanding. The mainly consideration is the mold operation on the product .
◊The rigidity and strength of the mold
 My personal experience is that the rigidity of the mold is very important. I often see that some mold base and inner mold materials are very thin. I can only say that maybe this mold can be used to product manufacturing, but the problems on products have close relationship to the strength, sometimes it is difficult to find. If it is saying that the strength of the mold is to maintain the mold will not break, I think this is a very unreasonable idea, it can be regarded as lack of the experience in mold design.
◊The glue inlet and the cross rubber channel
The glue inlet and the cross rubber channel are important factors in controlling the product. The precision mold has certain requirements on the way of glue feeding the product, making glue point well will have an imaginary effect on the product
◊ The temperature adjustment and cooling system
The mold temperature adjustment system. the temperature of the mold should be uniform. It is necessary to set the temperature difference required for the flow direction of the resin, and It is necessary to have corresponding countermeasures for the change of wall thickness. At the moment when the molded product is released from the mold, the surface temperature of the ejected mold is uniform. A reasonable mold cooling system is necessary.
◊  The processing method
The precision requirement of the precision mold is very high, and the mold processing method is very important. The mold hole is divided according to the shape of the molded product, and the slow wire is very commonly used. Therefore, we must consider the processing method when designing
◊  A post-compensation plan
It is reasonable in the structure of the mold to facilitate the attachment of other solutions. For example, a position of the mold may not be ideal. If it is not ideal after test, a post-compensation plan is required
